  • COMMUNISM (Toronto, ON, Canada) is a founding member of The Canadian Music Cooperative™, and their debut album “Get Down Get Together” was the first album released by the label with their launch in 2017. Communism is a shockingly energetic rock trio with songs that dare to combine high ideals and high kicks, a wake-up call to listeners and songwriters, that they can have real meaning in their songs, and get power from that, going beyond the normal default songs of love, loss of love, and often nothing at all. The music makes you dance, the words awaken your inner activist. One of Everyone, Take Care of Each Other, Forgiveness, Heartfarmer... the songs fill you with hope, connection, and harmony - all while rocking your world. After playing and singing for over 25 years with Ron Sexsmith, Rheostatics, and on occasion with Bahamas, Neko Case, Dan Mangan, and Feist's Hydra, as well as producing hundreds of artists, Don Kerr is now writing and singing his own songs under the name Communism. Mike O'Brien plays electric guitar, Jason Haberman plays bass. Three seasoned musicians and best friends who thrive on the thrill of playing live music, exchanging mutual invigoration with the audience. With the addition of visual artist Craig Small, the band wows crowds with their impressive laser and light shows, even in the smallest venues.

  • THE LOST CHORD (Moncton, NB, Canada), a founding member of The Canadian Music Cooperative™, is a collaborative rock project led by Moncton producer-composer Louis Marc Vautour. Founded by Vautour, Jason Perreira, Jason Kinney and Kevin Mcintyre (no, the other Kevin Mcintyre) in 1993 out of Moncton High School during a staging of The Wall, the project has taken on multiple incarnations across decades, moving through Toronto’s indie scene and back to New Brunswick in 2017. Its sound blends alternative/indie and psychedelic colors with world music textures drawn from Arabic, African and Hindustani music, often tracked via traditional analog workflows to emphasize warmth and weight. Over the years The Lost Chord has featured dozens of rotating contributors including Alex Berry, Alex Bovoletis, Cosima Grunsky, Michael Craig, Nick Zubeck, Brian MacMillan, Cedric Therriault, Redmond Kang, Jocelyn Blanchette and many more. Their first full length album "Carpe Diem" was released in January 1995, followed by the albums "Mentally Confused and Prone To Wandering" and "Confessions of a Hope Fiends" in 2003. In 2006 the band released their self titled "The Lost Chord" at a grand spectacle at the old Equity Showcase Theatre in downtown Toronto, featuring the Running River Orchestra, which was released as a live DVD "The Lost Chord LIVE". The group released the album Nostalgia in 2013—featuring the single “Lambspring”—and has showcased original material such as “Missius” live in Toronto. The Lost Chord continues as a studio-forward collective under Vautour’s direction in Moncton, expanding its roster of collaborators while developing new releases within The MUSIC COOP™/Canadian Music Cooperative ecosystem.

  • BRENDAN FURLOTTE (Moncton, NB, Canada) is a Moncton, NB based artist and one of the founding members of The Canadian Music Cooperative™ record label. Originally from Dalhousie, NB, he moved to Moncton and founded the ECMA nominated Gathering Tain. As a solo artist he released his album "Going Home" in 1999. Furlotte now performs with his new band, supported by the best members from other Moncton bands, Angry Candy and The Lost Chord. Brendan is a prolific songwriter, composing not only for his own projects, but for many local artists, including collaborating with Grammy award winning producer and writer Gordie Sampson.

  • ARABIKA (Moncton, NB, Canada) is a multicultural ensemble of Canadians whose roots span the Arab world—from Morocco and Tunisia to Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Lebanon. Led by vocalists Khalid Badrezzamane (Morocco), Reem Fayyad (Lebanon), and Amal Kilani (Tunisia), the group celebrates the Golden Age of Arabic music through deeply expressive performances that bridge classical tradition and modern creativity. Following the pandemic, producer Louis Marc Vautour joined as a multi-instrumentalist, expanding the group’s sound and guiding the creation of original works for their upcoming debut album.  Their first single, “Justice and Peace العدالة والسلام  Justice et Paix,” was released on October 13, 2025, in response to the Israel–Hamas ceasefire and hostage exchange, embodying ARABIKA’s mission to promote harmony through music.
